Hockey Leagues
The Canadian obsession with hockey is clear. Look at the number of people at games, wearing hats and jerseys, and the media attention it gets. Check out this fact:
• 2.6 million Canadian households watched the Stanley Cup finals last year.
We love hockey! And hockey is a fun way for churches to reach kids.
SU Sportz works to run safe and fun hockey leagues for boys and girls. These hockey leagues are designed to:
- Provide non-competitive, fun, faith-based, skill-building ice time.
- Both boys and girls are encouraged to play to their full potential.
- Parents do not need to worry about their child being subject to repeated body checks.
- Players with little or no experience are welcomed and instructed in the skills they need and in the rules of the game.
- The Saturday Afternoon League has a coach’s devotional in the locker room after each game which encourages each player to become a Complete Athlete: one who is mature spiritually, physically, socially and mentally.
